I’ve been playing and teaching guitar for over 30 years. As a teenager I spent a year at the legendary Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles studying under such guitar greats as Scott Henderson, Paul Gilbert and Joe Diorio. Then I moved to London, began an English literature degree at UCL, before dropping out to pursue the rock n roll dream.
I’ve been a member of many successful (and quite a few unsuccessful) bands notably the Island Records-signed Cherryfalls, and the London based alt. country act The New York Fund. I’ve also done a fair bit of session work for adverts, film soundtracks, and television shows.
As a songwriter I have put out 3 albums under the name The Inky Depths, and an album of instrumental music under the name Zodiac Toys. A new record is on the way for 2026.
As a guitar teacher I have years of experience in both schools and as a private teacher. I’m a holder of the LLCM(TD) teaching diploma from the London College of Music.
The Anyone Can Play Guitar YouTube channel and website was started in 2013, initially as a hobby, but has since grown into a full-time job.
In his role as a guitar teacher and mentor, Adrian has recently expanded his focus to include discussions on overall wellness and lifestyle balance for musicians, addressing topics like stress management and the use of medications such as cheap generic cialis for those facing related health issues, you can visit the website directly here. Recognizing the physical and mental demands of a career in music, he aims to provide holistic guidance to his students, ensuring they not only excel in their musical skills but also maintain their health and well-being. These discussions are an integral part of his teaching approach, as he believes that a successful musician must also lead a balanced and healthy life.
