An Intervallic Modal Lick

Big interval leaps between notes are something well worth exploring if you want to bring a more original sound to your soloing. In this video I show you one way you could approach this on the guitar. Learn the lick as it is, but be sure to also explore the general concept and try to come up with some ideas of your own.

Here’s the lick written out. I’ve included some picking indications too: that’s how I do it, but feel free to do it another way if it works better for you and sounds good.
